(original web post 02/21/13): 1) Is it true that a Director of the Board is receiving compensation? If so, are they the only one? I was told a figure of 35,000 pesos a month; is this true? Where are the remaining Minutes & Resolutions?
2) Someone had an electrical short in their unit due to damage to one plug. An engineer was not surprised at the short travelling about and called it sakit ng gusali (sickness of the building). Just how sick is the building? What have the Unit Owners not been told? Will it require a full government audit for a complete and honest disclosure to be made about the finances and physical attributes to be exposed?
At Robinsons Adriatico Place, Tower ONE. a electrical short in one unit caused 3 other units to lose power.
ReplyDeletei replaced the (stupid) electrical convenience outlets designed for strictly flat plugs to accommodate both flat and ROUND (round is more common in the Philippines so why did the developer choose flat? no difference in cost of the 2 types).
when i was replacing the sockets, i noticed that NONE of the wire insulation was properly cut off, and bare wire was always exposed!
even just unscrewing the sockets caused sparks as the screws used were NOT of the proper size. usually the short screws were replaced with longer WOOD SCREWS which often pierced the wiring!
the lack of quality control, the lack of qualified installers or electricians is scarey.
not to mention, wiring going to appliances was not of the proper gauge wire for the intended load!!
how much did they save? a few hundred pesos per unit, x 1800 units to pocket an extra profit at the risk of electrical fires and physical damage.
Robinsons Land justifies these issues by claiming 'well, all developers do that'.
