1) FOUND - A few weeks ago, I
was called down to the gym by a resident who looks after his sister's unit. He
has no trust or regard for the controllers of the property. His unit has been
broken into and the lock was replaced several times; the locksmith finally told
him not to replace it anymore since they can pick any lock. Brokers for another
development told him at ShangriLa that this happens all the time in the
Philippines and is normal. So my advice is for anyone that has such problems or
notices movement of objects to get a camera security system for taping of the
individuals with that being sent off site for future prosecution.
Anyway,
he found a watch in the gym and did not want to give it to the controllers given
past problems with missing items about the concierge area and his lack of trust
many of us share. I will eventually have to find out what is done with such
items in the Philippines as far as proper procedures. I do not want it ending up
in anyone's pocket for their personal gain. Yes, I am tired of what I read in
the newspapers of the seemingly endless corruption. Once I find out what is done
and given no one coming forward after what I hope to find to be the normal
allowance of time, I will turn over the watch to the proper and hopefully honest
authority.
2) LOST - After speaking to others about this and
listening to their recall, I was going to have separate message but Lost &
Found seems appropriate unless new information leads to other avenues. Does
anyone remember a TV in the Function Room? There were stories that it was moved
to the basement and elsewhere. Now staff does not remember a TV. If anyone has a
story about the TV or where it might be, please let us all know.
