Rehabilitation to What?

Rehabilitation to What?

We need to continually stress and point to words and language and how they are used or not used to distort what is going on with our building and the condominium industry in many parts.

There are several words with "re" one may use and they would be wrong, too.  The elevators have never been fully and completely installed.  I have written many messages on what we have been able to learn about this disaster.  The elevators should not be rehabilitated but installed and inspected for safety and proper functioning.

from Merriam-Webster:

REHABILITATE

1
a :  to restore to a former capacity :  reinstate
b :  to restore to good repute :  reestablish the good name of
2
a :  to restore to a former state (as of efficiency, good management, or solvency) <rehabilitate slum areas>
b :  to restore or bring to a condition of health or useful and constructive activity

So as the sign states from the mismanaging of the building, rehabilitation is their goal.  Rehabilitation or restoration means to a state of malfunctioning ugliness.  What the Unit Owners who are members of the Soho Central Condominium Corporation want are fully & finally installed, safe and good looking elevators as expected from the time of our purchases.
