SCCC Needs Unit Owner Control NOW!

UPDATE (03/09/13):  The concierge personnel had been replaced with only women from the security agency less the guard uniforms and guns.
UPDATE (01/14/13):  I was refused contact information for the insurance companies and lawyers representing the parties involved. I was told to send a letter! But where does it get sent? Why the disarming remarks as delay tactics making this one of many problems taking weeks, months and years to solve? UNIT OWNER CONTROL NOW! Ryan was given a process that will now officially delay contacting the insurance companies.
UPDATE (01/15/13):  This morning I asked the workers for their supervisor and no one showed up. The one worker started scraping the sealant and paint from the railing and I said please do not if there will be scratch marks. I have not inspected the outcome since I will wait for Ryan. We will post photos here of before and after shots. The situation at Soho Central Condominium Corporation (SCCC) is getting worse. I ask all Unit Owners to get involved and let everyone know what is going on.

(original web post 01/12/13):  The secret and private Board and other meetings continue and Unit Owners are left in the dark with our money being spent without our knowledge and proper consent.

Have you heard about the concierge desk and what is happening? The concierge people are being replaced by women security personnel. Will not the cost go up? Where did this idea come from?

I had discussed and perhaps they took the idea but are not implementing it correctly. I discussed a mix of both Security and Concierge personnel being both women and men. Why? How about introducing Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination. How about the fact the men and women may want to discuss various matters with either a man or woman. So the mismanagement of the building is raising our costs. Well, they spend Unit Owner money as they please in secret.

Were we told about what is happening on the outside of the building? Yes, at one point those working on the cracks told someone in the building that they were being worked on due to me. Well, I have been working with my partner/spouse and others.

OH, I have recently seen a letter sent through email which has its own peculiarities on how it was sent. You may have gotten it with claims some of which look like what we have been doing. We have faced such borrowing before.

This past Friday there was another meeting with Board members in attendance in the Residents’ Lounge. They do not seem to understand even at this time that the Lounge is not for the Developer and their minions. Yes, we pay for them but OUR MONEY is used without our being informed and witnessing decisions being made. Our foyer was also taken without a vote by the Unit Owners.

We have still not gotten all the Minutes & Resolutions. There was also one of several disturbing comments in a recent email sent out that stated Ryan and I had sent 10 letters. The number was 17 not 10. I will be commenting on the email in a future message.

EMERGENCY NOTICE: For all those in _ _ 06 units (those next to the electrical rooms) look at your balcony railings. Some of the unannounced work has now gotten sealant and paint on the railings. Where are the three Developer appointed Unit Owners, Nory and Kai on this serious matter. As Armando Ang wrote in the Guide to Homeownership, developer controlled buildings go down in value and Unit Owner controlled buildings go up in value. Unit Owners being groomed by Developers would not count towards Unit Owner controlled buildings. Either the railings get fixed or we need contact information of the insurance companies for the building and the contact information of the lawyers represeting those responsible.

I will add more to this message. I was doing much work off line but am back as will be many more letters. We have a lot of work this year.

I will post the annoucement for the 2013 Annual Meeting. The 2012 Annual Meeting date was changed in violation of the Bylaws. This year we will have the meeting the on the date stated in the Bylaws. If there is an illegal change, Unit Owners will meet on the correct date and carry out the Annual Meeting.
