The Fantasy Vision

Does everyone remember this among the wonderful ads and brochures and how about the salespeople and what they told us. I hear such fantasies continue. So after watching and remembering, cry and then laugh at the truth that is being exposed.

And, if the above is not enough and you need elevated blood pressure, here is the project's brochure.

Many posts are still issues and need to be read once again. At this main hub of postings watch for new posts and updates. Please get involved by spreading the word as to the issues here. The Great Wall of Soho Central

The Great Wall of Soho Central

The Great Wall of Soho Central continues to be built after confrontations with guards and other personnel from Twin Oaks, a project of Greenfield.  Remember, Greenfield also has three seats on our Board of Assumed Directors since they own the commercial floors.  Those seats under the By-Laws and Master Deed are reserved for the commercial areas and are nominated by the commercial areas though are only placed on the Board at an election by the members of Soho Central Condominium Corporation (SCCC).  No legal election has taken place since turnover in 2009.

You may read in past messages that the frontage of Twin Oaks was constructed higher than Soho Central's, thereby, as I had written, allowing their water and dirt to flow onto our property.  The solution of some Assumed Directors has been to build a wall to prevent the water flow.  While they may be in agreement with us about the slope and resultant water problem, the solution of a Great Wall is backwards.

When will anything be done right at Stonewall Central?  Was the city engineer contacted for a complaint?  Was a complaint properly filed with Highway Hills Barangay?  Or, were the proper procedures followed for legal complaints of this nature?  I would think a wall being built on our property would be the last step to take.  The construction of a gutter with a metal grill on Twin Oaks property should be the legal demand.  Greenfield is not being a nice neighbor and the small gutter that was created is a sad joke.  How many more jokes will Unit Owners, members of SCCC, tolerate?

I guess another question is whether it is a Great Wall since that would keep people off the property from invasion or a sea wall to keep the water from causing damage.  Good neighbors would have created a properly designed and built gutter on their own property.  We have these neighbors on the Board of Assumed Directors of SCCC.

I looked at google maps and they have not been updated so I could not view The Wall via satellite to see if it was like the other Great Wall.

This is the first confrontation I witnessed:

Oh, remember the recent party held on the grassy area and all the noise we had to endure which was worse than past events?  Should we all thank Greenfield at the next Annual Meeting?  Or, perhaps we should thank them at the skyscrapercity.com forum, too.  Such good neighbors who also sit on the Assumed Board of Soho Central need some thanks - http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=957974&page=17

These were photos taken after the first confrontation I witnessed.

See the ridiculous gutter next to the Great Wall?

This is the dividing line between the buildings.  If you go and take a look you will notice a gap with a cover on the sidewalk.  Also look between the buildings and see all the garbage left after construction.  What possible effect will this have if any?  Also, see how the gap between the buildings proceeding through the sidewalk then goes to the ridiculous gutter.  Hmm, would water come from behind the buildings and the gap and then enter out to the frontage?  What will the result be?  Many questions.  The consistent problem is private & secret Board meetings.  When will transparency and openness be the rule?

There is that sign on our building.  Who paid for it?  Who pays for the electricity?  A corporate logo on our building!

The second confrontation I had witnessed.

Why the ambulance?

Here is the Big Gun guarding our building.  It is supposed to go about the perimeter.  But, there it is all the way by the corner.  Seldom have I ever seen the Big Gun on the perimeter.  It seems to be the Big Gun for the front doors, street corner and garage entrance.

The following was written in the 2013 1st quarterly report from the Board committee:

"For sometime now, the perimeter guard at times carries a long arm gun instead of just a pistol in accordance with the instruction of the RAC as a psychological deterrent to any violent or lawless tendencies from some forces."

It would seem that the perimeter needs defining as well as "some forces."

As someone in the building said to me a few times, it seems as though they are making our building look like c&*p next to Twin Oaks given the Great Wall and Uglification Campaign currently centered on the lobby.
